Shipping policy

It's important to start by clarifying to customers that our order processing times are separate from the shipping times seen at checkout. 

To the best of our ability, all orders are processed within one to three business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped. 

On rare occasions, potential delays due to a high volume of orders or shipping service problems that are outside of our control may bear an effect on delivery lead times .

Domestic Shipping Rates and Estimates

For calculated shipping rates: Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. 

Simple or flat rate shipping: this rate may apply if your address supplied was not verified via geo location. and is displayed at checkout.

Local delivery

We are based in JHB and deliver nationally through our shipping partners.

Local delivery is available for orders within 100km radius of JHB. For orders placed and paid for before 11:30am local delivery. Usually local orders are delivered within 1 to 2 days of receipt of payment but delivery times may vary depending on circumstances.

Deliveries are made from 8am to 5pm on Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. GB Direct, or our shipping partner will contact you via text message or email with the phone number or email address you provided at checkout to notify you with shipping updates. 

In-store pickup

We are an online store and ship via our shipping partners with real time rates applied during checkout, however in certain special circumstances we will allow for free local pickup by the customer or their nominated shipper at our head office in JHB. Customers who wish to arrange pickup need to get in touch to make special arrangements.

After placing your order and selecting local pickup at checkout, your order will be prepared and usually ready for pick up within 1 business day. We will send you an email when your order is ready along with instructions. Note: we do not accept payment of any sort at our premises, all payments must be completed on our website prior to collection.

Our in-store pickup hours are 9am to 4pm on Monday to Friday excluding public holidays. Please have your order confirmation email with you when you come.


Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes (including VAT), which are incurred once a shipment reaches your destination country. GB Direct is not responsible for these charges if they are applied and are your responsibility as the customer.

How do I check the status of my order?

When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available. 

If you haven’t received your order within 3 business days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact the courier directly on contact details contained in your shipping confirmation email alternatively, contact us at dispatch@gbdirect.co.za with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.


Shipping to P.O. boxes

Some of our shipping partners may ship to P.O boxes and in these cases the shipment is conducted solely at the risk of the customer.

Refunds, returns, and exchanges

We accept returns up to 7 days after delivery, if the item is unused and in its original condition, and subject to our refunds and returns policy, we will refund the full order amount minus the shipping costs and applicable handling fees if any for the return. 

In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email us as soon as possible at dispatch@gbdirect.co.za with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition. We address these on a case-by-case basis but will try our best to work towards a satisfactory solution.
